Kingfisher Overland Test Run
After three years worth of development, a 1700 mile test run to the Scottish Highlands seemed only appropriate.

A 1700 mile trip to the Scottish Highlands seemed appropriate for a test drive
It took us 3 years to get the Kingfisher Overlander from concept to a functioning vehicle on the road. So it seemed most appropriate that the first test run would be a 1700 mile road trip through the Scottish Highlands.
Apart from being soaked for the first three days, which actually wasn’t too bad, the vehicle performed more than expected without a hitch.
The Overlander is now production ready.

The Overlander performed better than expected, especially being on a swing axle chassis. Having already an IRS based chassis, it was only a perception that a swing axle wouldn't perform as well. How wrong I was. It's hard to describe but the Overlander seems to crab around the corners, the grip on the road is phenomenal and combined - it's just a comfortable drive.
A challenging affair with the prevailing winds, especially with a drone in the air! After driving the Bealach na Ba Road 6 times I was able to get a decent amount of content.
The storage capacity on the Overlander is more than enough to ensure that you are comfortable on any journey. I was able to live out of the vehicle in comfort for the duration of the trip.
